Tillamook Air Museum

The gang (me, Curt, Dave, Steve, Steve, and George) took a ride to the Tillamook Air Museum on Sunday via a fantastic road, highway 240 from Carlton to Beaver. I’ll post some photos and a longer writeup later, but here’s the Spot Tracker map from the trip:

Off to Cannon Beach

I’m off to Cannon Beach this morning to spend the weekend with friends. Tomorrow is my birthday so I decided to take a short out of town trip. I would have left yesterday but I had stuff to deal with at work.

Whew! I found the backup…

Important safety tip for all you WordPress bloggers out there: BACK UP YOUR BLOG OCCASIONALLY! It’s the only thing that got my customized theme back. If you don’t know how, figure it out. Blog hosting sites might already have some backup mechanism, but since i manage my own domain I had to do it the old fashioned way and go back to the tarball (as we used to call it in my Mentor Graphics days) and pull out the copy of the theme I edited.

All is well. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Arrrrgh!!! I toasted my WordPress theme!

Looks like I accidentally updated the base theme I customized for this blog and blew away all my edits! I think (hope!) I have a backup, but until I find and restore it it looks like this blog is going to look pretty crappy.

An artifact from my BMW past…

I know it’s been ages since I posted anything. There really hasn’t been much going on.

Today I was going through some boxes in the attic and found my original BMW Motorcycle Owners of America membership card from 1986. When I rejoined in 2006 I got a considerably higher membership number than the one on this card. I wonder if they’d let me have my old membership number?
